Dasatinib + quercetin

Also called D+Q

Dasatinib plus quercetin is a drug combination studied as a senolytic, meant to kill senescent cells selectively. Dasatinib is a kinase inhibitor approved for certain leukemias; quercetin is a plant flavonol. In old mice a single dose, and in progeroid mice periodic doses, were given rather than continuous treatment. Source: Zhu et al., Aging Cell (2015)

Dasatinib + quercetin has been studied in 309 papers since 2015: 15 trials and 13 observational studies in people, 206 in animals, 34 in cells, 34 reviews; 97 in the past year. Its furthest trials in people are at phase 2/3. The newest story, Oct 2, 2026: “Dasatinib and quercetin reduce liver fibrosis in a phase-2 MASH trial”.

Dasatinib + quercetin reduces cellular senescence in human cells and senescence-associated secretory phenotype in humans across independent labs; other results show unchanged senescence in mice or increased senescence in cells. Ten registered trials concern aging; across all uses, two trials ended over a year ago without posted results or linked papers. Some authors have company affiliations, and papers declare company ties.
