Abstract
INTRODUCTIONDementia research in sub-Saharan Africa remains limited despite rapid population aging and substantial ancestral, environmental, and vascular diversity. The Study of Ancestry, Health, Environment, and Late-Life Neurodegeneration (SAHEL) characterizes late-life cognitive decline and neurodegeneration in north-eastern Nigeria.
