Network-orchestrated regulation of thymic dysfunction and restoration
Abstract · CC BY
Thymic function is governed by an interconnected regulatory network spanning epithelial, stromal, immune and systemic dimensions. This network maintains thymic structure and function through coordinated regulation of epithelial homeostasis, stromal niche integrity, and systemic inputs.
- Altered intercellular communication
- Chronic inflammation
- Stem cell exhaustion
- Oxidative stress and ROS signalling
- Sex hormone signalling (oestrogen, androgen)
