Topological Viscoelastic Filtering in Chromatin: A Causal Mechanism for Epigenetic Rate-Limitation
Abstract
This paper proposes the Topological Viscoelastic Shielding (TVS) framework as a mechanistically coherent theory for 3D genomic stability. We identify the 30nm chromatin solenoid as a frequency-selective mesoscale metamaterial, demonstrating a mathematically rigorous 87% relative-width suppression zone (the Nozdrenko Gap). Applying Kramers' Rate Theory to an overdamped system, we argue that this feature provides a causal reduction in the attempt frequency (A) of structural dissociation. By filtering the "breathing" modes responsible for TAD boundary failure, the solenoid acts as a mechanical governor for the epigenetic clock. This framework provides a falsifiable link between age-related NAD+ depletion and the entropic melting of genomic architecture.
