Abstract

Due to the aging population, there are changes in family structures and declining birth rates. While cognitive decline in later life has been widely studied, there remains limited empirical evidence examining the role of psychosocial factors, particularly living arrangements in shaping cognitive outcomes among older adults. The present study undertakes the scoping review on research on the older adults in the community and the effect of their living arrangement on their cognitive functions.
