Pemafibrate
A preprint reports that pemafibrate improves airflow obstruction in long-term smoke-exposed mice and increases autophagy while reducing senescence in human bronchial epithelial cells exposed to cigarette smoke extract. It also reports slower FEV1.0 decline in humans versus bezafibrate or fenofibrate. All four findings come from one lab, without independent replication, and name Kowa Company as funder.
