Longevity Maintenance Effect Size Manual—Verification of Mechanistic Discreteness Based on Published Meta-Analyses
Abstract
The field of longevity research has accumulated a large number of interventions—exercise, meditation, fasting, caloric restriction, cold exposure, heat therapy, social connection—each supported by independent meta-analyses for their health benefits. Yet these interventions are dispersed across different research domains and lack a unified classification framework. Based on the four intervention windows derived from the Neutralization Destiny Equation—reducing additional pressure (N), slowing charging decay (E), slowing inertia decay (M), and maintaining impedance matching—this paper systematically aggregates the published meta-analytic effect sizes of eight interventions and tests whether the effect size of each intervention targets an independent physiological pathway. The results show that the effect sizes of the eight interventions do not overlap with one another, with well-distinguished 95% confidence intervals, each corresponding to a distinct physical target. Aerobic exercise targets vagal tone (d=0.62), meditation targets sympathetic tone (d=0.54), intermittent fasting targets vascular endothelial function (d=0.71), caloric restriction targets basal metabolic rate (d=0.48), HIIT targets maximal oxygen uptake (d=0.85), cold exposure targets brown adipose tissue activity (d=0.66), heat therapy targets heat shock protein expression (d=0.58), and social connection targets all-cause mortality (HR=0.74). The completely discrete effect spectra of the eight interventions demonstrate that different longevity maintenance measures are not doing the same thing, but are each maintaining a different component of the carbon-based power grid. All tests in this paper use publicly available meta-analytic data and standard statistical methods and can be independently reproduced by any researcher.
