Chronological ovarian ageing versus diminished ovarian reserve: an integrative meta-analysis of human granulosa-cell transcriptomes

Diminished ovarian reserve (DOR) is widely treated as an accelerated form of physiological ovarian ageing, but this assumption has not been tested at the transcriptome level in a design that separates the two exposures. This study will re-analyse human granulosa- and cumulus-cell transcriptome data from public repositories under a uniform pipeline, pool per-study effect sizes by random-effects meta-analysis, and test whether a reproducible reserve-specific transcriptional programme exists once the contribution of chronological age is accounted for.
