Abstract

Subjective cognitive decline (SCD) is an important marker of the preclinical stage of Alzheimer's disease (AD), with a significantly increased risk of progression to AD and important early warning value. The manifestations of SCD are complex and varied, and existing biological and imaging tests are difficult to use for widespread population screening, limiting early prevention and control of this condition. With advantages such as noninvasiveness, low cost, and ease of use, neuropsychological assessment has become a key tool for SCD screening. As SCD receives increasing attention, neuropsychological assessment tools for its screening have become increasingly diverse, covering multiple dimensions, including cognition, memory, attention, and daily functioning, and the emergence of digital assessment tools has further improved assessment performance. Further exploration of the value of neuropsychological assessment in practice is still needed to provide a basis for multimodal diagnostic strategies for SCD.
