Abstract
Background: Vitamin D deficiency is a persistent global micronutrient deficiency linked to elevated allostatic load, the cumulative physiological wear and tear from chronic stress. Vitamin D may buffer this burden via anti-inflammatory, metabolic, and HPA-axis pathways.
