Abstract
Age-related macular degeneration (AMD) causes irreversible vision loss via progressive degeneration of the retinal pigment epithelium (RPE) and photoreceptors. RPE transplantation is a promising therapeutic approach for retinal degeneration, yet immune-mediated graft rejection severely impairs its clinical efficacy.
