Abstract

This scoping review maps evidence on the association between lifelong occupational complexity and performance in specific cognitive domains (memory, executive function, language, etc.) in adults aged 50 and older. Most studies treat cognition as a single construct or binary outcome. We want to know if different work demands protect different cognitive abilities. The review follows JBI methodology and PRISMA-ScR guidelines. Part of a master's thesis at the Federal University of Goiás, Brazil.
