Abstract

Ciliary neurotrophic factor (CNTF), a pluripotent cytokine which acts both centrally and peripherally, has been proposed to alter obesity, and to be modified by aging. There is limited work of CNTF in skeletal muscle in humans and its role in cardiometabolic health.
