Abstract
Introduction: Vascular calcification is a detrimental ageing-related pathology that is markedly accelerated in metabolic disorders. It is driven by osteogenic differentiation of vascular smooth muscle cells (VSMCs), however epigenetic regulatory pathways activated early in this transition remain poorly defined.
