Abstract

The aim of this study is to examine whether experience of social inclusion versus social exclusion has an impact on perspective-taking abilities following this, and whether this effect differs in younger versus older adults. This will allow insights into a potential influential factor that helps enhance or deplete successful perspective taking. There are two research questions being addressed: (1) The extent to which different interactive contexts (social inclusion versus social exclusion) influence how efficiently social cognitive capacities are engaged, within an online environment. (2) Whether the impact of interactive contexts differs in younger versus older adults in an online environment.
