Abstract

Systemic inflammation may accelerate cognitive decline related to Alzheimer’s disease (AD), yet underlying mechanisms remain unclear. We tested whether systemic inflammatory markers are associated with cognitive decline and whether they interact with AD pathology (amyloid, tau) and neuroinflammation (GFAP) to accelerate cognitive decline.
