Abstract

Age-related bone loss is a highly prevalent condition that contributes substantially to morbidity, mortality, and healthcare costs worldwide. Dysregulated osteoclast activity characterizes aging bone; however, current diagnostic measurements lack specificity, sensitivity, and early detection ability.
