Background: To examine the impact of type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) on cognitive decline. Method: This was a community‐based prospective cohort study. The population was selected using clustering sampling method and people who lived in the Qubao village of Xi’an aged 40 years or older were all enrolled.
