Abstract

Background: Alphaherpesviruses, including Herpes Simplex Virus Type 1 (HSV‐1) and Varicella‐Zoster Virus (VZV), are human neurotropic viruses with a high prevalence worldwide. The relationships between neurotropic Herpesviruses and Alzheimer's disease (AD) have been repeatedly emphasized.
