Selective cellular vulnerability to aging‐related decline of proteostasis and tauopathy

AAIC 2025 Abstract

Abstract

Background: Age is the greatest risk factor for Alzheimer's disease (AD) and aging is associated with decline in multiple pathways including cellular proteostasis efficiency, which has been shown to precipitate the accumulation of pathological proteins including tau.
