Abstract
Octopuses exhibit remarkable regenerative capacity, as shown by their ability to fully restore a whole arm. During this process, a complex appendage containing muscle, connective tissue, vasculature, suckers, sensory structures, peripheral nerves and the axial nerve cord (ANC) is regrown.
