Human studies link dietary risks to cardiovascular and colorectal cancer mortality and rising type 2 diabetes burden; a computational analysis links them to chronic kidney disease disability-adjusted life years. Diet-attributable mortality rises over 1990–2023, whereas diet-attributable noncommunicable disease mortality falls over 2000–2021. Six findings come from three independent labs in two countries.
