Indolent systemic mastocytosis (ISM) is a disease characterized by an abnormal proliferation and hyperactivity of neoplastic mast cells in bone marrow and various organ systems, marked by high rates of cognitive dysfunction, musculoskeletal deterioration, and chronic fatigue; clinical manifestations commonly associated with aging.
