Abstract

Educational attainment may protect against poor cognitive health outcomes in later-life potentially via cerebrovascular and neurodegeneration pathways implicated in Alzheimer’s disease (AD). Underlying brain health mechanisms may vary by sex/gender and ethnicity, given group differences in educational opportunities.
