Abstract

Background: Interest in the adaptive immune system in AD has been growing recently and it has been shown that CD8+ T cells accumulate in the AD brain, possibly exacerbating neurodegeneration. It is not clear if intrinsic differences in CD8+ T cells in AD patients predispose them to accumulate in the brain.
