Background: Dysregulated insulin signaling in the IRS‐1/Akt/mTOR pathway underlies insulin resistance in prediabetes (PreD) and type 2 diabetes (T2D) and may contribute to the pathogenesis of Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias (AD/ADRD).
