Abstract
Background: Medial Temporal Lobe (MTL) has traditionally been considered a key region of neurodegeneration in Alzheimer's Disease (AD). However, a significant proportion of patients present with cognitive impairment without involvement of this area. The pattern of cortical degeneration in these groups remains unclear.
