Abstract
Background: Prior evidence suggests that neocortical tau in those with higher β‐amyloid (Aβ) may be the main driver of Alzheimer's disease (AD)‐related neurodegeneration leading to insidious cognitive decline and ultimately a diagnosis of AD dementia.
