Abstract

Background: Chronic pain (CP) and depression frequently co‐occur in the elderly, severely impacting individuals with Alzheimer's disease (AD). Their overlapping neurobiological pathways exacerbate each other, accelerating functional decline and worsening cognitive deficits.
