Abstract
Background: Anosognosia, lack of awareness of clinical impairment, is a common manifestation in Alzheimer's disease (AD). This phenomenon is linked to AD neuropathology and dementia progression, but this is not acknowledged in Mild Cognitive Impairment (MCI) diagnostic criteria.
