Association Between Perceived Stress and Alzheimer's Biomarkers in a Cohort of Middle‐Aged, High‐Risk Adults

AAIC 2025 Abstract

Abstract

Background: Studies suggest a chronic stress‐activated pathway in the development of Alzheimer's disease (AD) and cognitive decline, underscoring the need to better understand mechanisms of stress and downstream impacts. Inflammation and vascular dysfunction caused by subjective stress may contribute to pathology in AD.
