Abstract

Background: Cardiovascular disease remains a leading cause of morbidity and mortality among aging adults in the United States. Hypertension, high cholesterol, and modifiable behaviors including diet and inactivity contribute to cardiovascular dysfunction, and are independent risk factors for Alzheimer's disease (AD).
