Abstract
Background: Vascular cognitive impairment and dementia (VCID) is a leading cause of cognitive decline and often coexists with neurodegenerative pathologies such as Alzheimer's disease (AD). Despite its clinical significance, the genetic architecture of VCID remains poorly understood.
