Abstract

Aging is associated with impaired endothelium-dependent vasodilation, leading to impaired muscle perfusion and organ dysfunction. It has been shown that impaired muscle perfusion may result in insufficient delivery of oxygen and nutrients during and after muscle contraction, leading to muscle damage.
