Elucidating the Isoform‐Specific Effects of Apolipoprotein E on Amyloid‐Beta Clearance and Neuroinflammation in Alzheimer’s Disease and Related Dementias

AAIC 2025 Abstract

Abstract

Background: Alzheimer’s disease (AD) is a progressive neurodegenerative disorder and the most common cause of dementia worldwide. Its pathogenesis is closely linked to the accumulation of amyloid‐beta (Aβ) peptides and the influence of apolipoprotein E (ApoE) genotypes, particularly the ε4 allele.
