Examining Genetic Differences in Alzheimer’s Disease in Mexican American Older Adults
AAIC 2025 Abstract
Abstract
Background: Hispanic/Latino Americans are 1.5 times more likely to develop Alzheimer’s Disease (AD) than non‐Hispanic Whites (NHWs), yet they remain understudied in AD research, limiting the generalizability of findings and the efficacy of treatments. The APOE4 allele exemplifies these group differences.
