Abstract

Background: The Montreal Cognitive Assessment (MoCA) is becoming the most widely used screening instrument for cognitive impairment and dementia. However, in underrepresented/underserved populations such as African Americans, MoCA performance can lead to high rates of false‐positive results and consequently misdiagnoses.
