Background: Neuroinflammation is a risk factor for Alzheimer's Disease (AD) and cognitive decline in aging. Reactive microglia are the first response to neuroinflammation. In animal studies, long‐term exposure to a high‐fat diet enhances reactive microglia and cognitive impairment.
