Abstract
Background: A strong innate immune response, including microglial activation and high levels of inflammatory cytokines, is prevalent in Alzheimer's disease (AD), contributing to neuroinflammation, neuronal damage, and cognitive decline. Modulating microglial activity is therefore a promising therapeutic strategy.
