Background: Amyloid‐beta precursor protein (APP) is the source of all amyloid‐beta (Aβ), the amyloidogenic peptide that aggregates in Alzheimer’s disease (AD). Lowering APP mRNA expression with RNA interference (RNAi) is a novel treatment strategy under investigation for AD.
