Abstract

Background: Functional alteration of the hippocampus is a critical consequence of Alzheimer's Disease (AD). The underlying pathological process has been attributed to the accumulation of amyloid‐beta plaques and protein tau as neurofibrillary tangles and is closely related to memory deficits.
