Background: Studies of Alzheimer's disease have demonstrated that cognitive decline fails to correlate with fibrillar Aβ burden. Method: We created a transgenic mouse overexpressing Dutch mutant hAPP (APPE693Q) driven by a pan‐neuronal Thy1 promoter.
