Abstract
Background: Healthy brain function undergoes continuous remodeling of neuronal functional properties even in environmental and behavioral stable conditions, which likely leads to ongoing, activity‐independent synaptic changes that contribute to the stochastic responsiveness of neurons to stimulation.
