Abstract
Corneal transplantation restores vision by replacing damaged corneal tissue with a donor graft, but the limited supply and variable quality of donor corneas remain major challenges. We therefore developed an engineered corneal substitute using gelatin methacryloyl (GelMA), a modified gelatin.
