Abstract

Cognitive impairment in Alzheimer’s disease (AD) is linked to defects such as oxidative stress (OxS), mitochondrial dysfunction, inflammation and insulin resistance. These defects also occur in aging where they are linked to deficiency of the intracellular antioxidant glutathione.
