Personal nostalgia vs. Personal declinism_Chinese

By Dang J

We compare the effects of personal nostalgia and personal declinism on psychological wellbeing (i.e., social connectedness, self-continuity, meaning in life, personal growth, self-esteem, optimism, inspiration, and positive affect). We hypothesize that personal nostalgia promotes psychological wellbeing, whereas personal declinism diminishes psychological wellbeing.
