Abstract

Aims Depression, low-grade inflammation, and chronic kidney disease often co-occur; however, the mechanism that connects them is only partly understood. We tested whether RDW, a marker of systemic inflammation, mediates the association between depressive symptoms and markers for chronic kidney disease (CKD).
