This repository contains the raw data, analysis codes, and supplementary materials for the systematic review and meta-analysis titled "Application of comprehensive geriatric assessment tools in treatment selection and outcomes in elderly patients with prostate cancer." Background & Purpose: Prostate cancer predominantly affects older individuals, yet traditional oncologic parameters often fail to capture age-related vulnerabilities. This study aimed to systematically evaluate the association between frailty (assessed through Comprehensive Geriatric Assessment [CGA] or validated screening tools) and overall survival (OS) in elderly patients with prostate cancer, and to quantify whether frailty independently predicts mortality across different disease stages. Methods: We conducted a systematic literature search across PubMed, Embase, Web of Science, Scopus, and Cochrane Library up to July 2024. Twelve cohort studies (n≈7,200) were included. Pooled hazard ratios (HRs) with 95% confidence intervals were synthesized using a random-effects model with Hartung-Knapp adjustment. Subgroup analyses were performed by disease stage (localized, mixed, mHNPC, mCRPC) and frailty assessment tools (G8, mFI, VES-13, QLQ-C30). Key Findings: Frailty was significantly associated with increased mortality (HR = 2.17, 95% CI 1.64–2.87, p < 0.001), with the strongest effect observed in localized disease (HR = 3.67). The association remained robust across sensitivity analyses, cumulative meta-analyses, and multilevel modeling. Repository Contents: Original data CSV set: Extracted data from 12 included studies (outcome data, study characteristics) Analyze the code: R scripts (R v4.4.2) for meta-analysis, subgroup analysis, sensitivity analysis, and visualization (meta and metafor packages) Incorporated literature: Full-text PDFs of all included studies Result_Figure: Generated forest plots, funnel plots, and meta-regression visualizations Expected Use: These data enable reproducibility of the meta-analysis findings and can be used for secondary research on geriatric oncology, frailty assessment validation, and prognostic model development in elderly cancer populations.
