Gait and dual-task digital biomarkers for early identification and risk stratification of mild cognitive impairment in older adults: a systematic review

By Shang Q, Chu B, ming Y et al.

This registration describes the protocol for a systematic review on gait and dual-task digital biomarkers for early identification and risk stratification of mild cognitive impairment in older adults. The review will systematically search PubMed/MEDLINE, Embase, Web of Science, Scopus, Cochrane Library, and IEEE Xplore. Eligible studies will include older adults with mild cognitive impairment, cognitive decline, cognitive frailty, prodromal dementia, or cognitively normal controls, and will report objective gait, mobility, or dual-task measures collected using digital or sensor-based methods. The review will synthesize evidence on testing paradigms, measurement devices, gait-related biomarkers, diagnostic or predictive performance, cognitive frailty, and clinical translation challenges.
